How to search the LAIR
database
- You may search the LAIR database
using the data fields listed below. A further elaboration
of the items included within each data fields is found by
clicking on the title listed. This will lead you to a
detailed alphabetical listing of the topics available in
the database.

Once you have entered the criteria for
your search, click on the Start Search button at
the bottom of the form.

Search Results

- The next page that comes up is the
search results page. You will see a list of the records
that matched the criteria you entered. The database will
display these records 20 at a time. If there are more
that 20 records that matched your criteria, you can use
the arrows at the bottom of the page to view theremaining
pictures.

- The list will display a thumbnail of
the larger image and some information about the image in
a table. Click the thumbnail to get more detailed
information about the image.

Detailed Results
- This page gives more detialed
information about each image. There are also links where
you can view and download the full size image. When
viewing the image it will show up very large and probably
will not fit entirely on the screen. Use the scrollbars
to navigate around the image. The image you download will
be much smaller than the one you see on your screen
(longest dimension = 1024 pixels @ 144-200 dpi).

- The images you download will be
compressed in BinHex format. If you do not have the
software to decompress these files, follow the link to
the Aladdin Systems page where you can download it for
Windows and Macintosh machines. If you are using a Unix
machine you do not have to download software as Unix can
already decompress from the BinHex format.
